DESCRIPTION:Gerard Brown: Carrathool Races\nLocal artist Gerard Brown draws inspiration for his body of work from his life experience as a farmer\, as well as his time spent facilitating life drawing sessions for artists. Having bred and trained racehorses\, his portrayal of the horses and race-goers of the legendary race meeting at Carrathool shows this sport of Kings and Queens contrasting against the treeless landscape of the plains of the region. \nExhibition Dates: Saturday 13 September – Sunday 19 October \nOfficial Opening: Friday 12 September 6pm \nOpening Hours:\nWednesday to Friday: 10am – 5pm\nWeekends: 11am – 2pm \nPlease note: the Gallery is closed between exhibitions for changeover. DESCRIPTION:Primavera – The Art of Spring Community Exhibition \nARTSPACE – Griffith Regional Theatre \nOctober 10 – 19 December \nOpening 10th October – 5:30pm – 6:30pm  \nGriffith Regional Art Gallery proudly presents Primavera – The Art of Spring Community Exhibition bringing the lively theme to the Griffith Regional Theatre – ARTSPACE. \nLocal artists are called to submit work that explores flora\, fauna and our natural world for the exhibition through 2D medium expressive forms. These include; painting\, drawing\, digital print media\, photography\, mixed media and printmaking. The exhibition offers locals the opportunity to participate in an exhibition that will coincide with Griffith’s celebrated Spring Fest. \nJoin us for the opening event on 10 October at 5:30pm at the Griffith Regional Theatre ARTSPACE.
